The holocaust is established fact. It is one of the most documented events in History. As to the number of people that died in the death camps it is difficult to judge but it is safe to say it was massive. Not only were Jews in the death camps but Catholics, Gypsys, Moslems and any minority that were percieved as a philosophical threat or genetically inferior to the Nazi's. The Jews were a main target of the Nazi purges but it wasn't exclusive to them. If you were not blonde haired and blue eyed you were seen as inferior. Even the Japanese were seen as eventual enemies of the Aryan race. More than 6 million Poles of all races were murdered by the Nazis. If there is to be meaningful discussion of atrocities through history in relation to current events then it must be done honestly and with as little exaggeration as possible. Statements like Bush and Blair have killed millions of Muslims are not based on reality but based on emotion. I am sure there are people who honestly believe it to be the case but where did it happen? When did this happen. I am interested to hear from someone who believes this and why they believe it.
